Trust, reliability, and clear responsibilities are crucial for managing a foundation. Behind StiftungsHafen are experienced professionals who combine financial, legal, and organizational expertise and assume responsibility for long-term management. Founders entrust us with their assets, ideas, and long-term goals. This requires not only professional competence but also continuity, transparency, and a shared understanding of responsibility. Our team combines decades of experience in banking, asset management, succession planning, and foundation management.

Foundation Manager

Michael Lürßen

Michael Lürßen has more than forty years of professional experience in banking and has specialized in financial and succession planning over the past fifteen years. During this time, the establishment of or participation in foundations has been a recurring element in advising his clients.

Driven by his interest in the charitable sector, Michael Lürßen has taken on responsibility in several foundations, including serving as a board member of the Bernd Artin Wessel Cancer Foundation in Bremen. In addition, both during his clients’ lifetimes and in estate cases, he has designed, established, and supported several trust foundations over many years. For him, the focus is always on the appropriate implementation of the founders’ wishes and translating them into effective funding projects.

Alongside his advisory work, Michael Lürßen has built a network of specialized lawyers and tax advisors and served for four years as a board member of Stiftungshaus Bremen e. V. Specialized academic programs in foundation management, financial and succession planning, and estate administration complement his practical experience and form the basis for the professional support of the foundations managed at StiftungsHafen.
